Dear parents,
At a time of year when our days, at their most frenetic, are filled with errands to run, commitments to juggle, and parties to attend, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support of the Bancroft PTO throughout 2013. Whether your contribution has been time, money, feedback, attendance at meetings, or any combination of these, it has served to make this a very productive and successful year for our PTO, and it is very much appreciated by me, by the PTO board, and by the teachers and staff at Bancroft.
With your support the PTO has been able to bring many cultural art programs and assemblies to Bancroft; we have supplemented curriculum; we have supported teacher development; we have provided financial assistance to students in need; we have enhanced our classrooms and media center with new materials; and we continue to be the cornerstone of a very fun social culture at Bancroft.
Please consider setting aside a few hours next Tuesday evening, December 17th, to attend our 2nd General PTO Meeting. Dr. Marinel McGrath will be our guest speaker. Dr. McGrath will address her vision for Andover elementary schools and will provide an overview of her strategic plan. There will also be a Q&A session. It is definitely going to be an evening rich with information, and I hope you can join us.
2014 will deliver many exciting events and changes to Bancroft – most notably, our move into the new building — and I am personally grateful to be part of such a vibrant school community as we move forward.
