We are pleased to announce the return of the annual Bancroft Talent Show!
PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE: We needed to reschedule after we learned of a conflict with district band and strings on our original dates.
Rehearsal: March 19th, 5:00PM
Show: March 21st, 6:00PM – Acts should arrive at 5:30 and sit in the reserved seating at the front of the auditorium.
Ground Rules:
- Acts are open to Bancroft students (and family members if desired) grades 1-5.
- Kids can participate in a max. of 2 acts.
- No more than 6 kids per act.
- An adult must accompany each act at all times and is responsible for accompanying them backstage at the appropriate time (more details to be provided at rehearsal). We ask that person to be the one to complete the signup for the kids.
- Acts cannot be longer than 3 minutes (if more than 25 acts sign up, we reserve the right to reduce this time to 2 minutes and will let you know as soon as possible if that occurs).
- No excessively large props – if the kids cannot carry/move it on their own, it shouldn’t be used.
- No water, sand, fire, or anything requiring power. If you have any concern about one of your props, reach out and ask us first!
- Nothing can be physically attached to the stage or suspended from the ceiling.
After signing up, we will reach out to you for details (will the act be starting on stage or off, lighting requirements, music accompaniment, etc).
Volunteers are ESSENTIAL for this event to be successful! If we do not have enough volunteers, we cannot move forward. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Signups close on March 8th. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late requests as we will need time to prepare for the acts. We appreciate your understanding.
