Happy Earth Month! We should treat every day like it’s Earth Day so here are some reminders and actions families can take to help Keep Bancroft and Andover Green!

  • To help improve air quality at the school, please turn off your engine while in the parent pickup and drop off lines.
  • When packing your child’s school lunches and snacks, invest in reusable bags and containers to cut down on single use plastics and items that will get tossed after one use.
  • Teach your kids about recycling and composting at home and make a game of guessing “can it be recycled?” If you aren’t sure, download the Andover Solid Waste app and use the lookup feature!
  • Participate in one of the many Earth Day activities in town this month, like the annual Earth Day Cleanup on April 22nd, the Andover Climate Forum on April 10th, and various other Earth Day-related events throughout the month at Memorial Hall Library. For a full list of events, visit https://andoverma.gov/1031/Earth-Day.
  • Recycle and donate unwanted and unusable textiles via the conveniently located Helpsy bin in the Bancroft parking lot!
