Teacher Meet & Greet and Device Pickup on 9/14

MASKS ARE MANDATORY

On Monday, September 14th, student iPads and Chromebooks (and other materials that teachers would like students to have) will be available for pick up for students in grades 1-5. In addition, students are able to meet their teacher and the students in their cohort.

Bancroft/teachers/staff will be available at designated grade level times listed below to meet their new students and engage in a quick and socially distanced activity. This new format will replace their traditional Meet and Greet that happens typically before school starts. Unfortunately, walking through the building and going to classrooms is not permissible this year.

9:00-9:30   Grade 1 and Grade 2  (hybrid students, COHORT A)
9:30-10:00   Grade 1 and Grade 2  (hybrid students, COHORT B)
10:00-10:30   Grade 3 and Grade 4  (hybrid students, COHORT A)
10:30-11:00   Grade 3 and Grade 4  (hybrid students, COHORT B)
11:00-11:30   Grade 5  (hybrid students, COHORT A)
11:30-12:00    Grade 5  (hybrid students, COHORT B)
1:00-1:30    Remote students (Grades 1-5)

Device Pick-Up Procedure and Meet and Greet:

  1. Please park in the parking lot.
  2. Locate the grade level tent for your child.
  3. Your child and one (1) parent or adult may approach the tent.
  4. A staff member will bring your child to his/her teacher. You will walk back to the car with the school device and walk back to pick up your child at the tent at the ending time indicated above. Please remain socially distanced as you wait for your child.
  5. In the event of inclement weather, we will ask that you come at the same time indicated above, through the bus loop, so we can hand you your child’s materials and devices. When you return home, you will attend a Google Meet with your teacher at the following times…ONLY IF IT RAINS!!!

    10:30     Grade 1 and Grade 2
    11:00     Grade 3 and Grade 4
    12:30     Grade 5
    2:00       Remote students (Grades 1-5)

    *Teachers will email links to the Google Meet on Monday morning by 9:30.

Monday’s date or times may be challenging for some due to work schedules. On Monday, devices will be available anytime after the scheduled time listed above until 3:30. Chromebooks can be picked up between 8:30 and 3:00 on Tuesday as well.   However, teachers will not be available to say “Hello” during these alternative times.
